Hello, I am new to this forum, and I'm fairly certain that among most of us, my situation will be a little different.

I have been a fan of Bethesda Softworks' Morrowind game from the Elder Scrolls series for a long while. I have heard about a "prequel" to the game- Arena, the first Elder Scrolls game in the series that was released in the nineties I believe, for DOS. I never had much luck with DOSbox and my home computer died a few months ago, but in our computer class we will be loading some modern Dells with DOS in order to familiarize ourselves with it. There will be at least one day that is reserved for geeking out on old DOS games- and I would love an opportunity to make an Arena disk to bring in and play! However, I don't know where to start or how to go about this process.

So, you see, I'm not trying to run this on XP, 95, 2000, or even Windows at all- which means no DOS emulator. I will be using the actual, honest-to-the-Daedra (ha) old school DOS.

Does anyone here know how I should approach this? Any help would be appreciated.

But the machines won't be DOSbox.

We've completely wiped the computers. They don't even have operating systems, and we'll be putting DOS on them instead of XP. I was wondering

1) how to make a disk that will be recognized by DOS
and
2) if running it on actual DOS will be different, because it seems that everyone uses DOSbox.

Seeing DosBox is an emulator, the Arena file would still be made for the original Dos operating system. I guess reading the files to a disk would make it recognizable by Dos.
