I've been playing with Arena for a while now, and I only found longswords and plate helmets that are enchanted in those random treasure piles (besides marks, rings, amulets..). If so then picking up any other pieces of armor or weapon to check if it's magical is a waste of time. Or there are other enchanted gear, just extremely rare?

It's all random. You might find something better. Elder Scrolls games are all about wasting time looking through piles of loot, and collecting or selling things that you ultimately don't need.

It must be some weird kind of randomness then. I'm level 16 now, and still I only find longswords and plate helmets that are enchanted. Surely I found dwemer or myhtril stuff, but they are not enchanted either.

update: Finished the main quest at level 21 and it's still the case.

update 2: Finally I've found an enchanted broad sword lol. Not sure if it's bug tho But it's more like the bug is that these are rare. Really, most of the longswords and plate helmets were enchanted, but this was the first time I actually found something else that is enchanted. So it's really quite rare.

If you see two weapons in a pile, one of them is magical. That is the only thing one can be sure of.
Also, the deeper you are in the dungeon, or the larger city you are in, the better items you can find.
