I was just reading this article from Eurogamer about Terry Pratchett and the Vilja mod. I have never played an Elder Scrolls game with a mod, only with official add-ons and DLCs and chapters from Bethesda and ZOS. But reading about this mod for Oblivion (which happens to be "the other Elder Scrolls game" I'm playing right now, by which I mean when I'm not playing ESO) has really piqued my interest! Does anyone here have any experience with this mod?

Yes. It's pretty good, although the voice acting isn't for everyone. The creator has also released a range of house mods which are compatible with Vilja, and she has the ability to interact with other popular follower mods.
