Long time returning Daggerfall player trying Unity. Loving it....

But its very weird to me that I can use any enchanted item in my inventory regardless of slots, equipped or in backpack. Is it supposed to be like this? Im just spamming enchants dominating anything at lvl 8 and they dont even break fast. Whats the point of having gear in slots such as rigns, bracers etc if I can just spam them from the backpack?

Maybe im missing something? Was it like this in the original version as well?

Cast-when-used don't need to be equipped, just used.
But Cast-when-held items do in deed need to be equipped, and while there are MANY slots, they are still limited.
