...is anyone still here?

I just read this entire thread in like ten minutes and am extremely intrigued. Is this still happening? This thread has been dormant for awhile...school and such is out for everyone, correct? I love the progress that has been made, and would hate to see it come to naught.

Wonderful! I'm glad you gave such a quick response! :D

I'm actually RPing with my ESO guild, and was hoping to incorporate some more Jel. I am super excited to see where this goes! If there's anything (even minor stuff as well) that you need help with, I would love to aid in this effort. I am no colanger, but I would love to be of assistance should you need it.

Also, is there a place where all of this is being gathered? the mediafire hasn't been working and was wanting to see it all together...

As someone who has Argonians as their favorite race, this area of knowledge interests me a lot. Not to mention that I am a fan of fantasy languages, especially in the topics that interest me(which, unfortunately, are few and sparse). It'd be a shame to see such a potentially powerful project die.

Hey what is happening on this Jel project? i'm extremely intrigued since i am writing a fictional story about an argonian, and it would be way more interesting with the native Jel language here and there.

I'm wondering: the link to that mediafire folder you put in, it doesn't seem to work. why? Can you repost a working one?

I've read this topic for a while now, and i've decided i'm gonna make a mini dictionary on all the gathered information from the Jel language. As soon as you reply back and tell me your opinion on this idea, i'll get working straight away. Your work will soon become a widely known and popular newly discovered culture in the Elder Scrolls series! Besides, it'll also help me on my story.

I'll probably Private message this to you to make sure you receive it.

Please reply soon.
Thank you!

Oh! One more thing! :!:

Can the word yoq mean no? It seems realistic enough, and we already have a word for yes, "xhu". If you think yoq isn't good enough, reply what you think is better!

For my Elder scrolls online character I would like to request the translation for a name, the general idea is he is a finder of things, the reason I am asking is because I am currently using an english hyphenated name He-Who-Finds so a proper Jel/Hist name would be amazing.

I hope you still look at this since many argonians on the ebonheart may be looking for you.

I've registered here just to be able to post in this thread.
First of all, I wanted to thank lu_ming for all this great work. It's just simply awesome. Like in ultra-cyber-multi-hyper-extra-cobra-awesome.
Second, I want to help in any possible way. I am almost nothing of a linguist, still I can do something useful, just ask.
Besides that, is it possible to reupload files somewhere (both links are outdated, unfortunately)?
Finally, I dare to ask you for translating just a single word: «mushroom». I mean one of those giants of mushrooms which Telvanni live in, if that matters. It would be a name for little argonian raised by Telvanni wizards.

My thoughts exactly. I just created my first Argonian in Skyrim and I want to give him a proper name in Jel rather than the translated version. So far I've got Reeksa-Lei....but that feels like half of a name. Hoping to see an updated link for the main file sometime soon. Love what I'm seeing so far though.

Now to go learn the dragon language so I can re-do all the shouts for each race. Never been a huge fan of the default voice for the shouts, so if I could replace them with something better....even if I have to create them myself....I'd be hyped.

Hi, I am big fan of this thread, it is really awesome work. And like others, I wanna Argonian name, but in Jel. I usually use name "Erendil", what I've made many years ago, but it's from Quenya language (I was and still I am huge fan of Tolkien world, but elven name is not suite for Argonian).
So, do you think is name Erendil quite Argonian? Or have you any idea how it change?
I wanna Jel-English vocabulary so much :D

Dear Lu,

I happened to stumble across this page a long while after the start of the project, but I would like to know if you are still working on it, as I am interested in creating a full dictionary of Jel with all known words translated into english. I know you have taken trips to China, and continued research when you came back, so I would be honored if you responded to my post. Not as many people play skyrim as they used to, especially with the upcoming TESO, but I feel like you and many other conlangs still have a great intrest in the languages of skyrim. You made a post a while back about Bethesda not having any conlangs on their team, and that's is a damn shame. We need people like you to expand the ever-growing world of The Elder Scrolls.

A fellow conlang,
Onyx :)
