Can't Pickpocket Golden Eggs Back from Hrundi

The wiki says I can pickpocket them back but even with Sneak fortified over 100+, Chameleon and 100 Security, he still always notices. Is it because I'm using MCP 2.4? Could I knock him unconscious? I absorbed his Fatigue to 0 but he still just stood there and didn't fall down. Keneticmotion (talk) 23:05, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

The MCP fixes the pickpocketing mechanic to use the weight of an item rather than its value as the difficulty factor. The eggs have a weight of 30 each, so they won't be the easiest things to steal. However, given your stats (note that Security has no effect on pickpocketing, though), I find it odd that you don't seem to have any success at all. Are you trying to steal the eggs one at a time, or are you trying to steal them all at once? One at a time has a greater chance of success.

As far as the vanilla game, I would have to run a test to see how difficult it is to steal the eggs back. I don't have time to do that at the moment, but if I get a chance to do so in the near future, I'll post the results here for comparison.

As far as knocking Hrundi unconscious, note that an NPC's fatigue must go below zero in order for the NPC to collapse. There is an option in the MCP to allow stealing from unconscious NPCs, so that is certainly a possibility, but note that you may still be detected.
