Dremora or Xivilai?[edit]

I know that for many people, telling the difference between these two races is very difficult. The similarities of these races is that they both have horns, grotesque wrinkled faces, and Daedric armor, so without looking closely its pretty hard to tell them apart. The difference are often that Xivilai will have small yellow eyes, longer faces, and blue skin, while Dremora have red eyes, stubbier faces, and reddish-brown skin. (Dremora from Coldharbour sometimes have blue skin, as seen on Krrztrrb)

For this guy, I can't fully tell. Judging by the images, in his disguise he has yellow eyes and blue skin. In the scene where he reveals himself, however, it looks like he's a Dremora, and then again when you fight him, it's hard to tell but he looks like a Xivilai. It's possible that Zenimax messed up and briefly made the npc a Dremora during one of the quest stages, and then a Xivilai for the rest, but I'll have to verify that. I'd like to change the race to Xivilai (since many, many Daedra have been marked as "Dremora" despite being a different race before) but until I can be sure I'll leave it as is. Looking at quest in my log files, the only real reference to what the Thane is from one of the stages Inside the Flagon, the sobering villagers confronted the mysterious Thane, who revealed himself to be some sort of Daedra. I need to find Bernt and speak to him.
TL:DR the quest only refers to him as "some sort of daedra".--Talyyn (talk) 09:58, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
Got some results from eso model viewer, it confirms that Fellrig starts out as a Dremora but later shows up as a Xivilai when he fights you. This means the game has different versions of him, in what appears to be having mistakenly set his race as different types for both. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 21:40, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
