Welcome![edit]
Hello! Welcome to UESPWiki Kristafr. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:
- Policies and Guidelines: UESPWiki standards and expectations
- Quick Editing Guide: a quick guide to wiki markup
- Getting Started: how you can help
If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at this link:
- Userboxes: near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own
When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! --GUM!!! 20:54, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
Spring vs Summer[edit]
Re: "... but when summer comes they thaw out ..." on Lore:Kamal
If you have a reason to think that the correct word is "spring" rather than "summer", could you please provide that reason on the article's talk page instead of just editing the article with "SPRING" as an edit summary? Because as it stands, that sentence is nearly directly taken from the book Mysterious Akavir, which clearly states: "Every summer they thaw out and invade Tang Mo" (my emphasis). I even double-checked that UESP's text for Mysterious Akavir is identical to the in-game text from both Oblivion and Morrowind. So I'm not sure why you think "spring" would be more appropriate. Again, if you do have an explanation, the article's talk page would probably be the best place to respond (so the information is easily accessible to future editors/readers of the article). Thanks. --NepheleTalk 20:53, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
