Un-Prod[edit]

Hi Eshe and anyone else. Can we leave these several graphics on for a bit? I see your points, but I want to experiment with a couple of things, maybe using show/hide or something.

I am doing something similar with Unbound: "Overwriting" the quest, on my own computer and/or in a sandbox. I will later ask around about if and how some of the nonconventional stuff might work, not work, partly work, or even just stimulate some thoughts. The idea with the "waypoint" photos is to guide a player along a shortcut/unconventional route, which is quite difficult to describe by text only, and has no clairvoyance pathing. If it makes it onto the article page, and survives others' responses, will likely be placed in a show/hide section or something like that.

Can we check it in a month, and see if I've stuck to the project? --JR (talk) 02:16, 3 January 2013 (GMT)

Hey JR, if you have uploaded images to the wiki which aren't being used anywhere but you don't want them deleted, there are two easy ways to make sure they don't get marked for deletion. Either put the {{Linked image}} template on them or put them in a sandbox. Even if they're not technically linked, the template would still put a big fat notice on the file page saying they should not be deleted, and therefore keep them from being marked for deletion. On the other hand, dumping them all in a sandbox is a simple way to show that they're "used" (though in this case someone might want to rename them to match naming standards as "user images"- but this discussion might prevent that). Anyway, feel free to remove the prod template from any of the relevant images and go with one of these options for now. — ABCface 03:18, 3 January 2013 (GMT)
Oh. Thanks for the help here. I didn't read it until I made 42 unnecessary notes all over. But now I got it! --JR (talk) 14:06, 3 January 2013 (GMT)
