One of the many shrines to worship
One of the many shrines to worship

Worship one of the many Daedric Princes! Look at the profiles of each Prince and select one that best suits the personality and/or background of your character. For example, if your character is a hunter, Hircine would be the ideal Prince to worship. Here's a few suggestions as to what you could do:

  • Make offerings to the Daedric Lord. For example, if your Daedric Lord demands that you give it a lion pelt or frost salts or something in order to begin the quest, you should find lots of those and drop them at the feet of the statue.
  • If your level is high enough, do the Prince's shrine quest. Earn the reward, and be considered a 'champion' or 'hero' of the shrine's worshipers.
  • If you want to be the main worshipper of Boethia, do the Boethia quest and afterwards blast Haekwon (main worshipper) of the cliff with an incredibly powerful shock spell which sends him flying of the cliff, just to prove you`re a badass.
  • If you like, replace the "main worshiper" (the follower who tells you what offering to give). Guide the other followers, perhaps by giving speeches. (NOTE: the Actors In Charge mod makes roleplaying a worshiper much easier, as with many other roleplays.)
  • Be your shrine's "ambassador". Journey into major cities, such as Skingrad, or just to small towns. Either preach your beliefs openly to a gathered crowd in broad daylight or travel around in the late afternoon/night and preach in inns, bars, etc.
  • Befriend the people you run into who seem into Daedric Prince Cults.
  • Eliminate the followers of a rival cult (i.e. if you worship Malacath, kill the followers of Mephala).
  • Get books on Daedra, Oblivion, and the specific deity and give it to the worshipers. Make sure to read them yourself too.
  • Dress in dark robes, or whatever it is they all are wearing.
  • Buy lots of Conjuration spells and use them liberally whenever you run into trouble. Rely on your Daedric Prince, who sends you things to help protect you! Roleplay ways to give thanks for the help Daedra give you.
  • Fight against the Imperial state religion. Never touch the wayshrines, except to defile them. Dump Daedric Hearts, alchemy ingredients, Bones, Skulls, and other such on them. Summon Daedra right next to them just to prove a point. Don't just mess with the wayshrines, however. Show up in the city chapels and sneak around and steal stuff from them to try to put them out of business. Assassinate the local priests and primates.
  • Think up roleplaying efforts to prove to the people of Cyrodiil that the Nine Divines are false. For example, summon daedra right on top of the altars in the major cities during the early morning, when many are there. Summon bound armor and sit in the front row, much to everyone's annoyance. Run around like a jackass, knocking over everything and shooting Destruction spells at the walls, and make everyone notice the fact nothing happens to you.
  • Buy/Steal all the copies of the Nine Divines(book) and other Imperial state religion promoting books, and go drop them all in the middle of nowhere. Conversely, duplicate lots of books promoting the existence of Daedric Princes and drop them in major cities. For example, place a copy or two in a major inn or bar, place them on seats in Nine Divines Temples, reverse pickpocket them onto people heavily involved with the Nine Divines religion, and whatever else you can think of.
  • Get a good Daedra summoning spell and use it to become the shrine's 'protector', keeping bandits and other people away. Get the Staff of the Everscamp and pretend they are also protecting the Shrine.

Once you have proven yourself to your lord by doing his/her quest, you can make up new quests that you are assigned to spread your Daedric Prince's doings throughout Cyrodiil. Here are some examples for a few specific princes:

  • Vaermina: She is after all the Daedric Lord of dreams and nightmares, pretend she has sent you to instill an NPC with a never-ending nightmare. (If you have the PC version there is a mod that makes NPCs sleep permanently) or you could just use the damage fatigue glitch.
  • Sheogorath: Simple; cause madness. Run through the streets naked, taunt the guards, or reverse pickpocket random things like yarn or a cabbage. You can even roleplay that you say really random things when you coerce with NPCs. (Ex.I like cheese, do you like cheese? I hate cheese!) Then return to his shrine and have a good, crazy laugh.
  • Molag Bal: He wants to enslave every mortal soul. Collect the souls of innocents and goody-two-shoes with black soulgems, then offer them up to his shrine. Simple enough.
  • Hircine: Probably one of the most fun Princes to roleplay. Pretend that he wants you to track down a certain creature (without telling you where it is to make it more challenging), kill it, and bring back a part of it to show it is dead (Ex. he sends you to kill an ogre, bring back its teeth.) Some creature suggestions: Uderfrykte Matron, Giant slaughterfish, Giant mudcrab, Xivilais, Liches, Minotaur lords, Goblin warlords, etc.
