The Restful Watchman

The Restful Watchman is a small, lower-class inn in the southern district of Bruma. It is located behind the Cathedral of St. Martin, between the Condemned House and Botram the Hammer's house, just in front of Ananril's house.

The inn is run by Bentior, who is willing to turn a blind eye to most activities in his establishment but will need your help to get Cerendil to drop some charges against him. He also offers up bounties, serves food and drink, and will rent you a room for 10 gold.

During Absent Antiquity, you will visit the inn to interrogate Bentior about the theft, while in The Screeching Songman you will question resident fence Crouches-In-Crevices about Renod Even-Toned's stolen lute. After spending a night in the inn, you will be approached by Olaf Cold-Heart with a request for help, while former mercenary Dumrag gro-Morrg can be found draining flagons of ale since his wife was abducted.

The Restful Watchman[edit]

The dimly-lit ground floor serves as a dining area, with a few tables with rice bread and cheap drinks, as well as the odd coin purse and a lute in the far corner. The furniture and tableware reflects the inn's reputation, and is generally of poor quality. Bentior can be found at the filthy counter, behind which are a novice-locked strongbox, an iron mace and his bedroll.

The small first floor hosts two rooms, both cramped and dingy, with a single bed and a bedside table. You will be able to rent the second from the stairs, which also contains a pair of fine boots. In the hallway are a chest of drawers and a few cheap books.

Standard Merchandise[edit]

This is the merchandise found in the inn's merchant chest. These items are only available if purchased from the merchant; they cannot be pickpocketed or stolen. They are restocked every two days.
