Stage 70

How do I get Stage 70? Talking to the thieves about the skins makes them attack you and there is no journal entry. — Unsigned comment by 83.7.204.73 (talk) at 14:23 on 2 March 2024 (UTC)

I checked in the CS and can't find any trace of this quest stage ever being set. Given the wording of the entry, I suspect it was supposed to be set when you talked to the thieves about the attack, but the command isn't present in the result script of their dialogue topics, likely due to an oversight. Not to contradict what you found but I have played this quest and I remember the journal adding it as it should. After talking to them I talked to them, checked my journal and saved the game TheSeldomConsitentEditor (talk) 02:19, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

Then I'm willing to bet you're playing modded, although it would be interesting to know which mod adds this. I've checked both the Morrowind Patch Project and the Patch for Purists and neither one adds the journal entry. I can't find any trace of stage 70 ever being set. (Edit: I haven't checked to see if I have the latest version of the PfP, so there's a possibility it might have been fixed in a later release.
