"I know everyone's upset about the Colossus. But I confess I'm thrilled about the chance to see the island's volcanic nature at its most spectacular.
Anyway, how can I help you?"

"If these tremors get any stronger, I'm going to lose my glassware. I'll need to crate up my goods, I guess. Hmm.
Is there anything you need before I begin putting things away?"

After To Catch a Magus is completed:

"At first I welcomed the tremors and minor eruptions. It's fascinating to see the volcano at work. But now I'm beginning to wonder whether it's going to stop before it lays the city in ruin.
What do you need?"

"I know it's dangerous, but I can't wait to get a closer look at the volcanic fissures outside the walls. There's sure to be deposits of rare minerals left behind by the eruptions.
