After you have spoken with Lanazha, she will ask you to use the pass-phrases on Kiko as so you can learn the riddles:

"I'll feed you when we find treasure! Treasure! Squawk!"
"Squawk! Dance, Kiko! Dance, you winged daedrat! Squawk!"
"Squawk! Your mother was a sload! Sload!"
"Squawk! Squawk! Fine day for a keelhaul!"
"Take no prisoners! No prisoners! Squawk!"
"Sway as we kiss! Sway as we kiss! Squawk!"
No prey.
"Squawk! No prey! Prey!
This half sleeps beneath the shade, in tangled roots of tunneled glade. A stream of fire cuts the trees, yet south of home for he who sees."
No pay.
"Pay! Pay!
The second piece is within reach, between vaster shores and wind-wracked beach! Craft approach with spade in hand, eye the cauldron and turn the sand! Sand!"

As you approach the location of the "No Pay" riddle, Kiko will cry out:

Kiko: "Kiko! Beeko! Treasure seek-o! Squawk!"

As you approach the location of the "No Prey" riddle, Kiko will cry out:

Kiko: "Kikooo! Treasure, yes? Treasure here? Treasure near! Squawk!"

Once you have solved the first two riddles and obtained the key pieces, speak with Kiko to see if he recognizes the key:

Do you recognize this key, Kiko?
"Key! Key! Time for riddle three!
The sun-warmed side of Singer's path is where you'll find your prize. Hang Gloomlantern upon your ship to shroud her from all eyes!"

After you have found where the Gloomlantern and dug it up, Lanazha will ask to meet you at the Jaded Ornaug in Vastyr. Kiko will be seated on a table, and has nicer things to say if you talk to him:

"Kiko good boy? Good boy! Squawk!"
"Do you know how long I've been looking for you? Squawk!"
"Squawk! Raise the mainsails! Squawk!"
