Condition[edit]

Hello ! Do the "dessicated" condition and category pages exist on the wiki ? As it is written desiccated instead of dessicated on this page, that could explain why the links lead nowhere. I am but an humble argonian (talk) 19:11, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

These pages do not exist on the wiki, and probably shouldn't, as "desiccated" merely refers to the fact that these corpses are devoid of all moisture. They should have "undead" in the condition parameter. -MolagBallet (talk) 21:00, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
It's complicated because Desiccated enemies use an identical skin to Draugr enemies. However, it would be highly inaccurate to put them under draugr (which uses a race parameter), so I did my best to put them under desiccated. Unfortunately the wiki uses Undead in condition for any undead that we can't categorize properly. I'd prefer if desiccated npcs and other ones using the same skin like Nhalan would all just be put under Desiccated and the draugr ones stay after draugr. I made a discussion on Online talk:Draugr on how to deal with the Draugr "race" only existing for the polymorph and how all npcs using it were just technically Nords with a draugr skin applied but no action was taken, even though it was mostly agreed something should change. It is more specific than only undead, then maybe the category Dessicated should be created ? But is a different skin sufficient to make it a proper category, or should dessicated creatures just be in the non-specific undead one ? The two choices seem legitimate to me, but I'd be for its creation, since I prefer when there's too much categories than not enough. I am but an humble argonian (talk) 14:16, 1 September 2021 (UTC).
