Skyrim talk:Octieve San
[edit] Dead
I found Octieve dead in the courtyard of Castle Dour. I didn't hear any fighting. Is this another glitch in the AI? --Legoless 17:03, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- – I haven't found Octieve dead per se, but I have received a Letter of Inheritance suggesting he is, apropos of nothing. I was in Windhelm at the time. May be the same bug? Threepwood87 22:08, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

- I got a Letter of Inheritance (having never married him!) after Vici's wedding. He probably died in the chaos after the wedding when that Argonian showed up to "help" me. He alerted the whole city and through friendly fire everybody was soon fighting everyone else. I fast traveled away as soon as I could but that was obviously not fast enough. --93.205.72.94 19:02, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Interesting glitch
There is a second Octieve San walking about Solitude in one of my savefiles. He appeared during the quest to kill Vittoria Vici, when I went into the Temple to go around and up onto the roof and try for a statue-kill. The 'original,' the one I can actually interact with and talk to and who thinks of me as a friend because I got rid of his debt, was sitting down on a pew when the 'duplicate' walked in the doors just behind me. They follow each other everywhere, I'm fairly certain they share the same AI package.
anyway, does anyone know if killing the 'duplicate' would screw any scripts up for the original? 71.76.181.41 07:38, 9 September 2012 (EDT)
- Killing the duplicate might cause the game to consider him dead, i.e. confused NPC dialogue, letter of inheritance, coffin in the town crypt. However, if the duplicate tries to give you the quest again, I'd recommend reloading and getting rid of him; trying to repeat the quest may cause more serious bugs. If you're on the PC, your best option would be to use the
disablecommand on the duplicate. —Legoless (talk) 09:30, 9 September 2012 (EDT)
