"Ashamul is a small, traditional Velothi settlement in the Molkadh Mounts. Not much to say about it, really, just a guar pen next to the entrance."

Ashamul is a small Velothi cave complex found a short distance northeast of Ranyon-ruhn. It consists of a vast cavern hewn into the rock of the Molkadh Mountains, with several small dwellings formed out of hollows in the cavern walls. The cavern lies at the end of a short east-west canyon in the mountains with its eastern end joining the road between Ranyon-ruhn and Tel Ouada.

Outside the cave is a small guar pen, and Ashamul is known for selling the creatures as beasts of burden.

Getting There and Around

The easiest way to find the settlement is to head east from Ranyon-ruhn and follow the road towards Tel Ouada. After a while, the banners and signs for Ashamul will become visible to the west. Inside the cavern, access to the several dwellings is made using a network of wooden platforms and landings that link everything together. Some of these walkways are very narrow, and require care to navigate successfully. Since nobody offers any services, there is little reason to enter any of the houses in any case.

Places of Interest Around Ashamul

Ashamul is one the more remote locations on the mainland. The closest place of note is the Erushara Ancestral Tomb, but to reach it requires levitation west over the mountains into Aranyon Pass. Midannecne lies along the road to the north, while Shasharanit lies south and west, while Drenim Ancestral Tomb can be found south and east.
