The Pryai River

The Pryai River is a river that cascades from the Velothi Mountains to wind through Roth Roryn.

The source of the Pryai
The Pryai in Roth Roryn

It springs from the icebound mountainside above the tower of Hasarund, rushing down the slopes of the Velothis in a series of waterfalls. Green riverbanks adorn it as it progresses through Roth Roryn - first through a series of small cascades and pools, and then later in sweeping undulations. It passes under the high bridge at Bodrum, where in ages past Vivec defeated an army of the Reman Empire, leaving ill-fated soldiers to drown in the waters below. A shrine marks the spot of the battle, and rusting legionary armor can still be found in what are by now calm and sedate waters.

Beyond Bodrum, the Pryai passes under a stout arch of natural rock. Atop this sits the Monastery of St. Felms - dedicated to the martial saint. The monastery maintains an elevator permitting access to the river, and appears to take in their supplies here. Further down, the river begins to widen, even as the terrain flattens around it. By the time it draws close to (but never quite touching) the town of Omaynis, it is joined by a tumultous cascade issuing from hot springs to its south, before emptying out into the Inner Sea by Llaram Plantation.
