These are major discussions, including on-going discussions that have not necessarily been resolved. If a discussion is not marked as resolved, you are free to add to the discussion; if you do so, please also add the topic to the Active Discussions list on the main Community Portal so that other editors know that the discussion has been resumed. The discussions are listed in reverse chronological order (based on when the discussion was first started).

Those marked "not subpaged" have not yet been added to the archiving system, and therefore their individual topics are not listed in the archive categories.

[edit] Archiving Guidelines
Any editor who would like to help update the Community Portal archives is welcome to do so. In addition to actually creating archives, there is maintenance work that can be done ahead of time.
- When new topics are added to the community portal:
- Make sure that community portal is the most appropriate place for the discussion.
- Add a Template:Archive Header template at the top of the topic with any relevant archive categories (not necessary for moved topics or for topics that are of no future interest, e.g., "I'm new here. How do I edit a page?")
- If a topic becomes too long, turn it into a major discussion.
- When the page is ready for archiving (i.e., it's been more than a month since the last archiving and the page is getting long):
- Move all of the topics that have been inactive for at least a week to a new archive page, e.g., UESPWiki:Community_Portal/Archive_15.
- Add
{{Archive Header|none}}to the top of page; add a Nav Footer template to the bottom of the page (including a "Next" link to the non-existent next archive). See Archive 7 for an example of the templates. - Add the new archive page to the list at Archives.
- Go through the new Archive page and move any topics that may potentially be of future interest to a subpage. For example, a topic with the header "Example Topic" would be moved to a page named UESPWiki:Archive/CP_Example_Topic. See Archiving Process for details.
- Before saving each new subpage, move the Archive Header to the top of the subpage. If there is no Archive Header, create one. Fill in the categories if it's obvious what the categories should be. If not, leave the categories blank, e.g.,
{{Archive Header|date=2008 June}}. That will put the page into the uncategorized list so other editors know that it needs to be fixed. - On the Archive page, replace the section with a transclusion, e.g.,
{{UESPWiki:Archive/CP_Example_Topic}}
