This page contains some basic site statistics, such as daily visits and bandwidth usage, over the recent years. It is meant to be a rough guide as to how the site is doing and for estimating its future needs. It is generally updated on a monthly basis.

[edit] Daily Visits

The following graph shows the daily number of visitors to the site. Gray is the daily average and red is the weekly average. A single visit is defined as a single IP address that uses the site in a given period. For example, if a user views 20 pages in 5 minutes that would be one visit. If that same user came back in 4 hours to view another 10 pages it would considered an additional visit.

The following graph shows the daily pages server by the site. Gray is the daily average and red is the weekly average. The page count includes only content pages and not images, files or similar content.

Note: Values after January 2008 are approximate due to the use of a Squid cache.

The following graph shows the daily bandwidth usage of the site. Gray is the daily average and blue is the weekly average.

[edit] Monthly Averages

The following table is a monthly statistic summary for the site. The web server bandwidth includes only the output bytes sent out from the web server. The total bandwidth figure is the overall site bandwidth as charged by the ISP.

[edit] Statistic Notes

• Stats are obtained using Webalizer.
• On March 12th, 2006 we switched from a Canaca dedicated server to an iWeb dedicated server. There were issues with the Canaca server in the few months it was in use which contributed to the low traffic.
• The large increase in traffic during April 2006 coincides with the release of Oblivion.
• The significant decrease in traffic during the months of December 2006 and January 2007 was due to server issues which rendered it unusable for 2-3 weeks (site admin was away during this time).
• The increase in traffic during April 2007 is likely due to a combination of the release of the first complete expansion Shivering Isles, the PS3 release and several patches.
• The weekly fluctuations (gray lines) can easily be seen. Weekends and holidays always have noticably more traffic.
• The small increase in bandwidth usage during August-September 2006 was due to the release of the Oblivion online map.
