Locksmashing Ring[edit]

First, find any enchanter except Galbedir (see previous tip for why) and a Exquisite Ring, which can be gotten from Milie Hastien in her shop in Balmora. Miun-Gei is one such enchanter, found in Vivec, Foreign Quarter. Make a ring named "Locksmashing Ring", no quotes, that either has

  • a) an Open spell with a 100 to 100 magnitude on touch, cast when used.
  • b) an Open spell with a 70 to 100 magnitude on touch, cast when used.

If you cannot afford either of those, do Indoril Armor again.

Ibar-Dad[edit]

You may have passed by Ibar-Dad during the Morrowind Main Quest. Here are the instructions to get there.

  • Go to Khuul.
  • Walk east until you hit a mountain.
  • Then, head north to the coast.
  • Follow it east till you reach a shipwreck.
  • Then turn south, and onto land.
  • Continue south until you reach a gap on the left hand side.
  • Go through the gap. There should be a Daedric ruin on your right.
  • Head forwards. You should see a cavern door on your right. That is Ibar-Dad. Save before entering.

If you don't get there, I'm sorry, my instructions are a bit vague, but use an online world map or your paper map to locate it if you can't find it. OK. Be ready for some tough fights. Use the Amulet of Shadows if you need to. Kill the scamps and mages, then go into a room, not the one behind the gate, but the one with a desk in it. Read the books, take the potions, open the chests, do what you want, but take the key. Then go through the locked gate. Swin through the water. When you come out of the water, there will be two Dremora Lords guarding a door. Kill them. They are very tough. After theey are dead, loot their daedric weapons. Heal up, walk back until you can rest, and equip your ring in the magic window. Use it to open the lock on the big door the Dremora Lords were guarding. It is trapped too, but not a very strong trap. If you are weak, use the Amulet of Shadows before entering the room. Open it. Inside is a GOLDEN SAINT! Kill it, it has a glass claymore, and a shield (quite possibly a Daedric Tower Shield!). OK. You are now in a GIANT TREASURE TROVE! It has a Daedric Battle Axe (1-80 damage!), a Daedric Face of Inspiration, and 8 skulls, four on either side of the room, that have daggers stuck in them, but be warned, each one summons an Ancestral Ghost to attack you. It has a whole lot of other things, you can rifle through and take them. But it has one thing of major importance if you can levitate. Look up on the wall. See something glowing? That is Eleidon's Ward! Grab it! It is a GREAT shield! It has a really high defense rating, and an awesome enchantment (Restore Health 50-100 pts on self, cast when used). Once, I myself was stuck in between a frost atronach and an ash ghoul, each was in a seperate room. I had 10 health left, then I realized I could use Eleidon's Ward to restore my health. And I got out of there! But really, make sure you get the battle axe for the next tip!
