If you still want to help us out here, feel free to improve articles you come across. Almost all talk page topics are about the content of the article themselves. While you may find some exceptions, they are relatively few, and mostly from roughly a decade ago before we started to more clearly designate talk pages for wiki-work only. Allowing general conversations would greatly tax our editors, while also making it harder for them to actually use the talk pages for their intended purpose.
