Welcome![edit]

Hiya 2d2l! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's great when we get new members. Just thought I'd send you a welcome with some helpful info. Check out the following links:

If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at the Userboxes page: a near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own.

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~ (do not sign edits to articles). Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! ABCface 07:12, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

Welcoming Members[edit]

I am liking the enthusiasm, but are these editors who have made constructive edits? If they don't edit constructively or they have a nonsense name, like this (ColettembsgbjayzlIatarola‎), don't bother welcoming them. The nonsense names are spam bots, and most others make accounts, but don't actually do anything. If they make a good edit, feel free to welcome them though. Okay, sorry about that.2dum2live (talk) 21:39, 13 September 2012 (GMT)
If I can nitpick one last time... If you would please include a header to the effect of "Welcome" that would be great. The Recent Changes would show the header instead of "Created page with...". I figure that it would work nicer if the new users, incase they check RC, didn't see "Hello {{SUBST:PAGENAME}}" when they got on the RC. Kind of a give away that our messages are extraordinarily impersonal haha. Of course, it's so minor that it isn't a big deal. It's just something that I try to avoid, and I know a few others try to, but it is in no way official policy. :) Snowmane(talkemail) 22:29, 13 September 2012 (GMT)
Crap.... I knew I forgot something when I welcomed someone, thanks for all the advice I do really appreciate it.-- 2dum2live (Talk) 22:37, 13 September 2012 (GMT)
Of course. And if you ever have a question, feel free to ask me. :) Snowmane(talkemail) 22:43, 13 September 2012 (GMT)
