[edit] 503 Errors

I noticed your comment about 503 errors and just wanted to let you know that 503 errors are specifically caused if you try to simultaneously make more than three requests to the server. It's a necessary evil to prevent bots from flooding the site with hundreds of requests. Generally regular users shouldn't see 503 errors too often (for example, even when I'm patrolling recent changes and request 50-odd pages in a row, I only rarely get an error). If you're getting a lot of them, I suspect that your IP has a frozen connection at the server (something that happens from time to time, and isn't really under your control). I'm going to try restarting the server to clear out the frozen connection that's there; hopefully that will help to clear up your problems.
