Feedback on 'Suggested Kills'[edit]

  • First, I can't verify any of these NPCs personally, so I'm just going to take your word for it that they all work. (I'm not saying I don't believe it, I just don't have any way of checking since I play on the Xbox and can't test any myself any time soon. Just to clarify :) )
  • Eola: I don't think mentioning the quest stage is necessary since you can't actually see the number in your journal anyway (at least not on Xbox), so I figure a note referring to the quest page will suffice. (Unless you meant 'quest stage' in the general sense, rather than the numbers listed at the bottom of quest pages... in that case, it's after she asks you to chop up the priest)
  • Boethia's Calling sacrifice: Okay, I understand this one through 'not all followers count'. After that, I'm not really sure I understand what the rest of the note is saying, I don't know if that's just me or if it should maybe be reworded for clarity.
  • Dead Thrall note: Use a {{VN}} note for verification (it's better not to use that template until it's actually on the article page rather than your sandbox, though)
  • Just one more thing: If you have not made any changes whatsoever to the other sections of the page (main description, notes, related quests) then it would be better to simply replace the 'Suggested Kills' section, rather than the whole page. If you have made edits to other sections, ignore this note. :)

That's actually it. You did a great job of adding lots more information in a way which is easy to understand, and it looks nice and clean. Hope my input helps, even if only a little. :) ABCface 02:37, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

Oh, one more thing I just remembered: You may want to mention that Camilla Valerius is a potential marriage partner. ABCface 02:40, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Thankyou for looking. I have verified most of them except for the verify ones. General sense for Eola is what i was wanting, as in when does it register that she is friendly. Boethia, i see what you mean, as in check followers page for a quest that makes them friendly. Dead thrall verify, the vn tag puts it onto a pages needing verified somewhere and im trying to verify them myself with help from Luke on the ebony blade page. small change to the notes section. I think lucaian and camilla shall be removed because Lucian has a bug for lots of money which hasnt been fixed yet, so i dont thhink either of them are appropriate. It just seems there is a lot of provided's but i cant think of another way to present the reasons why they are listed. :)--The Silencer 03:14, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Okay, I definitely didn't realize what you meant about Eola the first time, sorry! I thought you were asking at which point during the quest she could be killed, so my answer was wrong (or it was right, but to the wrong question, haha ;) ). Good call on removing both Lucan and his sister, 'cause I forgot about that Invest bug, and that would make them both useful to keep around. Anyway, it seems like I wasn't any help at all, but I do think you've done a great job on the changes, and I wouldn't worry about the redundant 'provided' in the way it's worded. The information is clear, and once it's on the page, anyone can edit it to make improvements anyway. Good work. :) ABCface 20:35, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Your feedback was useful to clarify some issues. I'm wary of putting this on the main page without some consensus, as user ThuumofReason is being unreasonable and determined not to let anyone edit or add to the list. When I think it has too many NPCs, its going to need someone to convince Thuum that this is what most people want, going by the various suggestions and comments on the talk page. I want to keep it concise yet have all Named targets that have to die for Quests on the page, because not everyone joins every faction, the Dark Brotherhood has the most targets yet people might not even go near them with a 'good' character build.--The Silencer 20:49, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

I think we could already consider implementing the list into official page. There are quite few valuable targets (enough for charging blade completely). That few possible future changes should all users survive and the list will be certainly (and gladly) used by (all kinds of) players.--Luke the Hero 13:51, 22 March 2012 (UTC)

Suggestions[edit]

Hroggar is interesting person - when you sell him wood, he will not turn hostile during your investigation in Alva´s house for Laid to Rest quest and can be killed without any bounties etc.; if saved, he has only one line about thanks so he can be killed even then (and falls under "chop wood" people) - he could be mentioned somewhere on the page (and I´m not sure where). --Luke the Hero 00:21, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

As long as she is not marriageble, then ok, I might make her an example of a replaceable innkeeper rather than her own section. I dont really want to add any innkeepers that hand out bounties, but then most get replaced and there are multiple in most holds. Try some replacement innkeepers, after doing an inns quest but leave original alive. The Silencer 19:01, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

Yes, my thougts: you can´t marry her, she only rents a room/has limited merchant inventory/hands out bounties (but you can still get these in holds´ city) - all functions takes over Leontius + she is in distant location with minimum people around (you can easily kill her unnoticed or escape when things go wrong). --Luke the Hero 20:51, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
