Good question. I've always done the vamp quests pre-MQ so I don't know if a simple Weakness to Disease will work. I've marked this as a GQ for further investigation. –Rpeh^{•T•C•E•} 13:43, 14 May 2009 (EDT)

You can still become a vampire by casting a strong Weakness to Common Disease spell. The easiest method is to kill a vampire, cast the Weakness to Common Disease spell on yourself, and then continually open and close the corpse. Wocrepus 04:59, 20 May 2009 (EDT)
