- "The trolls had very high Spell Reflection, spellcaster characters will likely fry themselves before hurting the trolls. Their high health regeneration means you need to hurt much and hurt fast to have any effect."
- "(all of the above done while using Oscuro's mod so may be inaccurate/wrong, please confirm)"
Even without any mods, the trolls appeared to be atypical. At the least, they were identified as Azhklan Trolls instead of just plain Trolls. They seemed to have more health and dole out more damage than normal trolls. I estimated their health to be 160 (8 back to back Flash Bolt spells killed them, 20 pts each) and one hit from them did 24 pts of damage (all done with difficulty set to normal). Both are twice the standard troll values (80 health, 12 damage). I don't know if that's level-dependent... my character was level 12. No evidence of spell reflection capability, however: I took them down as a mage with fire spells alone, and as long as I didn't let them maul me I didn't take any damage. Since I couldn't confirm this fact, I've moved it off the page. --Nephele 12:03, 6 June 2006 (EDT)
- I think they're leveled. I got through this pretty easily with my level 2 guy, while his skills that I wanted to focus on were still around level 20-30. I also found a couple pretty nice enchanted pieces of armor. I didn't test magic on them, being a thief, but I took most of them down in 1 sneak hit (with a dagger). Other than that, I killed them pretty fast in around 8 hits (with a dagger), and the only major problem seemed to be the fact that they regnerated health very fast. --MrTaco122 18:07, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
- They are leveled. In the construction set they are listed under the Leveled Creature tab as TrollEasy, TrollMedium, TrollHard, and TrollVeryHard. Medium shows up at level 4, hard at 11, and very hard at level 18. The stats are shown in the creatures section with the same labels. They list only a single spell: AbTrollEasy for the easy troll, AbTroll for medium and hard, and AbTrollHard for the very hard versions. The only differences are regeneration (1, 2, or 3 respectively) and that the Hard version is not immune to silence, which I think is likely an oversight. All have 50% weakness to fire, and nothing in the set mentions spell reflection.QuillanTalk 18:38, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
- Yep. Everything Quillan said is also summarized at Oblivion:Azhklan Troll. (Oh, and because the regeneration is an ability, it's always immune to silence, whether it's marked as such in the CS or not; so casting silence on the VeryHard trolls won't get you anywhere). --Nephele 23:07, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
