Pania Crunus is an Imperial member of the Ciphers of the Eye who can be randomly encountered while traveling in Apocrypha. She is arguing with Nassophra about a book they are trying to find.

Dialogue

You'll overhear the pair arguing:

Nassophra: "Wolfsbane and Bitter Teas should be in this pile. Are you going to help me, or just watch your time drift away like usual."

Pania Crunus: "Why would we be looking for a book on teas? We're here for Butterflies Among the Glade!"

Speaking to her:

"Nassophra is really starting to get on my nerves!
I knew she couldn't tell mortals apart, but I thought she at least had a mind for books!"

What's going on?

"My associate and I are book hunters, we seek the tomes that are too well hidden for others to find and return them to their rightful places. Or we would if Nassophra didn't keep forgetting which books we seek."

How do you know you're right?

"Because I wrote it down! I'm not the first partner Nassophra's had. I was warned about this, but I didn't think it'd be so annoying.
Ugh, I just have to play along until I can introduce the paper as evidence and catch Nass off guard."

Why not show her now?

"Have you talked to her? She doesn't take being contradicted well. I don't want to have to deal with an angry Dremora. Not her in the wilds.
No, I'll bide my time. It's smarted and safer that way. But I don't have to like this treatment either."

Why are you even working with Nassophra?

"Temperament aside, she's the best book hunter in Apocrypha. She knows this realm better than anyone else. We've never searched more than a few days before finding the tome we're looking for.
I want to learn even a fraction of what she knows."

What happens if you just go help Nassophra find the other book?

"Help her find a book we're not supposed to be looking for?
Honestly, I've never tried that. It could work, at least it'd be different from rehashing this same argument over and over again. It may be worth it."

If you convince Nassophra to follow Pania's direction:

Nassophra: "I may have switch the titles of the books in my mind. Butterflies in the Glade, yet?"

Pania Crunus: "Really? All right. I think my book's over this way."
