Chironasium[edit]

Doesn't a store need to contain an enchantment table to be a chironasium? ~ Shuryard (talk) 22:27, 12 February 2015 (GMT)

Not by my arbitrary definition      :P     My proposal for store types was based entirely on what vendors are encountered there, accompanied by what icon it has on the map, and I didn't think about what crafting stations are available. It's an interesting point though, and we could adjust the definition for that; we probably should mention on the page here anyway that there is no crafting table here. The primary purpose of splitting store types was to have as few things called "Store" as possible, just leaving "Store" for shops that don't fit into any of the other types at all. --Enodoc (talk) 22:40, 12 February 2015 (GMT)
It does make sense to call a store chironasium (apothecary, carpentry) only if it has a crafting station in it. Otherwise it serves as a simple vendor's stall. On the other hand, it also does make sense to categorize as much stores as possible, so that the "Other stores" list would be relatively short... So, according to your proposal, any enchanter at a named stall (or shop) with the banner (Enchanter) would run a chironasium, correct? ~ Shuryard (talk) 23:17, 12 February 2015 (GMT)
Yeah, that's how my proposal worked. Although other than that one in Eyevea, I don't think I've come across any examples of those store types using the map icon ON-icon-Enchanting.png without a crafting station. So we could take that one as an odd-one-out and revert it to Store if it is indeed the only one. --Enodoc (talk) 17:49, 13 February 2015 (GMT)
Yes, I checked and it does look like this is the only store marked on the map with the "enchanter" sign which does not have an enchanting table. So, I will change it back to "Store" and add a note to the page about a "missing" crafting table. Otherwise, chironasia are all good ;) Thank you. ~ Shuryard (talk) 01:42, 14 February 2015 (GMT)
