[edit] Adamantium Ore Locations
All the adamantium ore in the expansion is found in random rocks which have a 60% chance to have the ore. None of the rocks are set to respawn so the ore is limited.

[edit] Infinite Grand soul gems
Some merchants who have stacks of greater than or equal to 5 of any one item can be manipulated to exponentially increase said stack. Quantity possible is directly related to your wealth.
Elbert Nermarc in Godsreach of Mournhold is one such merchant. He sells Grand soul gems.
To perform this exploit:
- Have at least 30,000 gold.
- Travel to Mournhold -> Godsreach -> Craftsman's Hall
- Proceed up the stairs, Elbert Nermarc is behind one of the doors.
- Buy all 5 Grand soul gems and close the barter menu.
- Choose to barter with him again and sell them back.
- He will now always have 10.
- Buy 10 Grand soul gems and close the barter window.
- Open the barter dialog once again, sell the soul gems and close the menu.
- He will now always have 20.
Repeat this process until you are pleased with his superfluous quantity of Grand soul gems, or are out of money.
[edit] Loads of Money
In Godsreach, the Museum of Artifacts, if you have obtained Goldbrand from Boethiah's Quest, you can give it to the woman at the front for 30,000 gold (it's worth more, but that's the highest they can afford). It will appear on a pillar on the top floor of the museum, on the right side of the room. If you are a good sneak, you should be able to find a spot where you can sneak and pick up the awesome katana. If not, you can become invisible or use a powerful chameleon spell. While you're at it, you can get the heavy hammer on the top floor, which was made by the God Stendarr.
[edit] Easy Money
- Find an Ordinator anywhere in Mournhold, I suggest Plaza Brindisi Dorum since they have the enchanted "Her Hand" blade, and kill him. (Note: Once you have killed an Ordinator all other Ordinators issue you a death sentence, same goes if you wear their armor, which they consider to be sacred)
- Take what you can off his body (as far as armor and weapons).
- Go to the smith in the Great Bazaar and sell him as much as you can without going over his price limit (his limit is 10,000 a day). Once you've got your 10,000 gold sleep 24 hours, sell the rest off and repeat as many times as you want. Ordinators are one of the NPCs that respawn so there's an unlimited amount of money in this little trick.
If you are going to be doing this frequently, to purchase a spell or a lot of potions of marking and recall. This way you can mark the smith and quickly travel back to him each time without having to deal with troublesome Ordinators. If you have a high speechcraft skill, I recommend that you taunt the Ordinator. When he attacks, the Ordinators will remain friendly even after you kill him.
You can also use a high level frenzy spell and they attack you incuring no bounty. The high ordinators with unenchanted armor and weapons also have the Ebony blade which has the second highest available enchantment points of all weapons in the game (it has 80 points and the only weapon that is better is the ebony staff which has 90).
[edit] Good Armor
If you have completed the main task from Bloodmoon, you will have acquired the Ring of Hircine. Go to the Plaza Brindisi Dorom. Find a corner where you can sneak undetected. Equip the ring and you will turn into a werewolf. Kill the Ordinators and Royal Guards all over the Plaza (there are only about three of each), then rest to transform to your normal character. Pick up each piece of armor and wear it (you can't wear the Her Hand Armor or the Ordinators will attack you, but you can use the Her Hand Armor or sell the armor) or sell it all. You won't get bounty due to the fact they won't know it was you.
[edit] Easy way to kill Gaenor
Gaenor (located in front of the Temple) can be a very difficult opponent due to his full Ebony armor, reflect spell, and really high Luck. Despite all that, there IS an easy (but lengthy) way to kill him.
In order to do this you'll need:
- Boots of Blinding Speed (with a way to counter the Blind effect (i.e.: Resist Magicka))
- A good weapon that will not backfire from his Reflect effect. An unenchanted weapon will work, as will a constant-effect weapon, or one that performs an Absorb effect on strike (a reflected Absorb Health spell will not affect the player in the least.)
- A good amount of Restore Fatigue potions/scrolls
- Enough Acrobatics or a "ledge" high enough to jump over him (like the steps of the Temple)
- Fortify Luck and Speed potions/scrolls (Optional)
- A lot of patience.
Here's how to do it:
- Equip the Boots of Blinding Speed (if you haven't done so already).
- Start the quest by either giving him a vast amount of money or refusing to.
- Leave the area and return in about two days.
- Approach Gaenor to initiate the combat.
- Let him hit you at least once (this makes sure you don't lose the combat status) and jump OVER him. (Jumping over characters can and will most often cause them to run in fear)
- Run after Gaenor while repeatedly hitting him with your weapon of choice and while occasionally consuming the Restore Fatigue potions. (You'll need to keep your Fatigue relatively high to help counter his high Luck)
- Once dead, collect his loot and rejoice.
This process might take a good while, but he won't be able to block your hits or attack, and you should emerge relatively unscathed.
An alternate method can be used if your character is primarily a magic user with good Alchemy and Destruction skills. I know that this works as a Breton born under the Atronach. I don't know how well it would work with another character type, but it seems like it should work well regardless.
First, if you haven't already done so, while you are waiting for the two days to pass, get a good supply of potion components on hand (especially Bloat and Netch Leather), and boost your Intelligence up over 100,000 (the higher, the better) using the method of making and immediately drinking succesive potions of Fortify Intelligence. Each successive potion will fortify intelligence to a greater degree for a longer duration, which will allow you to make a stronger potion, which will in turn allow the next potion to be stronger still. It doesn't take long to get a really good Intelligence this way, whcih will result in incredible potions.
Once your Intelligence is high enough, make some ultra-strong homemade potions of :
- Fortify Luck (1000 pts or more for thousands of seconds is suggested),
- Restore Health (1100 points per second for 9,000 seconds is suggested - it needs to restore more damage each second than he can dish out in that interval, and it needs to last long enough to outlast the fight.),
- Fortify Willpower (1000 pts minimum),
- Restore Fatigue,
- Restore Magica, and
- Fortify Speed (be careful not to use too high a Fortify Speed - if your speed gets up over 400-500, it becomes very difficult to play. You may want to make one of these potions before you finish the process of boosting your intelligence so that they are not too strong.)
At the beginning of combat, hit your right button and take your potions. Use your speed to stay back out of range, while casting Toxic Cloud repeatedly on Gaenor until he dies. Since you will be restoring health at the rate of 1100 pts per second, taking damage is not really an issue.
[edit] Dark Brotherhood Hide-Out
While plundering Daedric shrines and caves will give you a one-time amount of loot, attacking the hideout of the Dark Brotherhood in the Mournhold sewers will give you a large amount of quite valuable Dark Brotherhood armor (check the walkthrough for the Dark Brotherhood Attacks quest for specific instructions as to this lair's location). There are two important tricks here:
- Use a Lightning Bolt spell, which can kill off dozens of Dark Brotherhood members in a few hits
- Leave the area and return again until you can carry no more, since all of the Dark Brotherhood members respawn as soon as you leave the cell they are in.
While the Brotherhood can be a bit of a handful for many adventurers using other means of warfare, the Lightning Bolt spell allows low-level characters to slaughter them quickly, especially if positioned out of reach. Each of their pieces of armor are worth 100, 200, 500 or 1000 Gold, and you can easily amass some 40 copies of each, even if you're unable to carry that much. Once you are high enough level you can sell the Daedric tantos that Dark Brotherhood Punishers use for 10k each to the armorer in the Great Bazaar.
