More magica?[edit]

Is it possible via any means (cheating, console commands, enchantments (like to avoid mods)) to get the amount of magica to cast things like the blessings of the nine spell (2568739 magica points) ? --Ghirkin 08:25, 30 August 2007 (EDT)

As far as I can tell, the base cost of that spell is "only" 18084. Which means at master level of restoration the magicka cost will be a cheap 3616 magicka ;)
But somewhat more seriously, the blessings of the nine spell isn't one that is supposed to be cast by any characters. It's only supposed to be "cast" by the chapel altars when you ask for a divine blessing, and as such it is supposed to be an extra-powerful spell that it's worth going out of your way to get. The developers didn't even have the cost of the spell in mind when they created it; they just combined all of the effects that they wanted, and the resulting cost is the automatically calculated magicka cost for those effects.
If you're seeing that spell in your spell menu, I'm guessing it means that you used the psb console command to add all of the game's spells to your character. As mentioned at PlayerSpellBook that command gives you every spell in the game. Many of them were never meant to be cast by players, so the magicka costs won't be "reasonable". The most expensive spell that was supposed to be available to players is the top level version of the Finger of the Mountain spell... although even that spell is pretty much impossible to cast. --NepheleTalk 12:36, 30 August 2007 (EDT)

trying to find file[edit]

im trying to find the file "topal_manor.esp" i made it with the construction set i can play on it, but even if I use the windows vista search thing i cant find it (its meant to be in c:/program files/bethseda softworks/oblivion/data/ isnt it?) all my other mods show up that I have downloaded, but the one i created doesnt show up.... is this a bug or is it meant to happen - if its a bug is it a bug with the Construction set or windows - if its meant to happen how to people make the mods and put them on the internet? --Ghirkin 16:30, 3 September 2007 (EDT)

Make another test save and see which directory the CS is saving the files to be default. Perhaps you changed the location accidentally? Alternatively, Vista has some real issues with Oblivion, as it doesn't like to grant programs access to, well anything really. Try checking in C:\Users\'username'\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion --Saruuk

oook - i managed to get it, eventually, i had to pretend to save another mod (one wich moves a barrel in the marketplace) and delete topal_manor.esp then click+drag it from recycle bin to my desktop, :) --Ghirkin 15:11, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
