Shady Grove (also called Shadymarch)[1] is a village found in the Khefrem region of southern Hammerfell, near the waters of Hubalajad's Bay and the city-state of Gilane.[2]

The village of Shady Grove has been in existence since the Tiber War.[2] During the Imperial Simulacrum in the late-Third Era, the town of Shadymarch was an active settlement. It was ruled by Lord Maoler and had a rivalry with Riverview.[1] Shadymarch was neighbored by a few settlements, including Lainebon Place and al-Danobia Tomb to the east, and Gilane to the south.[3] By 4E 180, the forests of Shady Grove were overrun by hostile wildlife and had a number of abandoned buildings within.[4]

Notes[edit]

  • Shadymarch was renamed to Shady Grove during the development of Redguard as an Easter egg reference to the area of Shady Grove, where Bethesda's offices at 1370 Piccard Drive, Rockville, Maryland are located.[5]
