The ingredient Cairn Bolete Cap comes from the plant "Cairn Bolete". There are actually 6 varieties of this mushroom, which differ in cap size. All varieties yield the same ingredient. Cairn Bolete is most common in caves, but can also be found outside.

• A rumor that you may hear in random dialogue mentions Cairn Bolete plants:

You can find Cairn Bolete growing in caves. They're said to mark the place someone has died.

• One of the game's shopping lists provides a recipe that works even for novice-level alchemists:

For a minor Restore Health potion, crumble some Cairn Bolete cap over roasted Boar Meat. Chop finely and mix together with a mortar and pestle. Add water to create a solution that can be drunk.

It can also be found randomly in the inventories of alchemy vendors and in some loot chests.
