The Staff of Worms

The Staff of Worms is a powerful staff held by Mannimarco, the King of Worms. It is a reward for completing the Mages Guild quest Confront the King.

All revived characters will have reddish-pink eyes; this is part of the reanimation effect.
It is possible to obtain infinite Daedra Hearts by exploiting resurrection. Use the staff on any Dremora. Every time they are revived, they receive a new heart. Wait for the 30 second revival to run out or kill them yourself to obtain the new heart. The same trick works with other creatures; for instance you can obtain more Vampire Dust by reanimating and killing Vampires.
Other items can be duplicated if you possess both the Staff of Worms and Skull of Corruption; see the Skull of Corruption for details.
Revived characters will never attack you no matter how many times they are hit by you, making them valuable as training dummies (as you still get experience for using your skills against them).

You cannot reanimate any creatures (i.e goblins, daedroths, atronachs, etc.) it can only revive humanoids (including Dremora)
Reanimated corpses will however retain their faction status, and will protect another faction member before they will protect you. (Example, a reanimated guard will help other live guards if they are attacking you)
