I was just robbing the main ingredient in the imperial city and noticed a chest by the stairs that needs a key to open. I've done every quest in the game before and never noticed this chest, does anybody know whats in it or how to open it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pancake (talk • contribs).

It might be Ogier's 'merchant chest'. Almost every merchant has one, and they are usually locked with a 'needs a key' lock, but there isn't actually a key. Most are hidden under the floorboards, though, so it might not be. --Gaebrial 07:29, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

If you play on the PC version you can open the chest with a cheat. Press the "`" just above TAB and click on the chest then type unlock, ENTER and the"`" button again it is now open. And yes it is the merchants chest it has nearly all ingredients in the game.
