Welcome![edit]

Hello! Welcome to UESPWiki Zander490. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at this link:

  • Userboxes: near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! --GUM!!! 01:28, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Sandbox[edit]

I noticed you were having issues creating tables in your sandbox. I didn't really look what the problem was, but if you'd like help, feel free to ask. Tables are one of the harder parts of wiki markup to master. Robin Hoodtalk 17:39, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, I was trying to get "rowspan" to work with cells, if that makes sense. The closest I could get was using caption, but it sits right on top of the table! By the way, is it ok to make a User Box Template for the default classes or specializations? --Zander490 17:47, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
I don't see a problem with making User Box templates for those, no. As for rowspan and colspan, here's how they work (edit this message to see the code):
Col1 Col2
Span Title
Data1 Data2
Span Text
Tall Short1
Short2
Junk Text
The trick with rowspan is to remember that the first cell is already accounted for, and you need to just pretend like you're dealing with one less column than normal until the rowspan "runs out", if that makes any sense. Look at the "Short2" text, where it looks like there's only one cell on that line, and it'll probably be as clear as mud. :) Robin Hoodtalk 20:03, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Oh, "colspan"! Now I get it! Thank you very much. --Zander490 20:08, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
