Fighter's Stronghold is the ninth and final official plug-in for Oblivion. It provides your character with a new house.
- Defeat the attacking marauders and become lord of Battlehorn Castle. Located in the Colovian Highlands west of Chorrol, this expansive castle will allow you to live the life of a noble warrior, with private quarters, grand dining hall, wine cellar, barracks, training room and more. And what castle would be complete without a few hidden passages and dark secrets?—Official Summary
Although it was originally promoted by making it available as a free download, after two weeks it was changed to a standard, for-purchase plug-in.
This plugin was originally identified as "Dragonfire Castle" and rumors of its development appeared in some game magazines in summer 2006, more than a year before it was officially confirmed by Bethesda. The long period of time before the plugin's release led to speculation that Dragonfire Castle had been canceled or even that it had been a hoax. Evidence of the original name can still be found in the construction set, where the editor names of several doors within the castle (in particular in the East Wing) contain the word "Dragonfire".
