The Worm Anchorite is a Necromancer who may be found in Dark Fissure as long as the player has heard about the "Shade of the Revenant" during the Necromancer's Moon quest.

He wears the standard Necromancer's Robes and Necromancer's Hood, and carries a small amount of gold and two Lesser Soul Gems, but the main item of interest is the Handwritten Note, which is one way of advancing the quest.

• Now, while the Shade of the Revenant blankets this world, I give these gems as an offering. May the power of the true god fill and change them. (to anyone other than the player)

• The word "anchorite" is a term applied to somebody who has chosen to withdraws from society to live a life dedicated to religion and prayer.

• The third line of dialogue was clearly intended for the player alone but can be said to any of his "colleagues".
• The Handwritten Note should be a one-off and not respawn with the anchorite.
