[edit] Acquisition

Is there any way to acquire this alchemical item other than the To Kill an Empire quest? 68.52.30.29

No. It's a one-time item. --Fluff 05:43, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit] It says it makes a big damage health poison.

How strong? — Unsigned comment by 71.239.60.214 (talk) at 01:55 on 31 December 2011

[edit] very strong

I made it and it was 1147 in poison damage — Unsigned comment by 76.8.172.175 (talk) at 11:26 on 19 January 2012

[edit] Poison Damage wrong?

The Poison Damage from this ingredient is not 300 points. My character has a total of 272 health in total. I eat the root 3 times. My results were: 1. Try 80 Pt Life left, 2. Try 79 Pt left, 3. Try 78 Pt left. Always around 80 Pt Health left. Maybe the damage is percental and do not kill you as descripted from astrid. Can someone could confirm this and maybe add to the side please? Oh, and i don't wear any poison gear and play an imperial. Paramania 23:37, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

In the game data it says it has a "Damage Health" effect of magnitude 200. This is about what I get testing it and seems to match your results too (a bit of health already regenerated). I'll change it to 200. --Alfwyn 23:51, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Poison Values and Numbers

By wearing 5 piece +29% Alchemy clothing (Includes falmer helmet) I mixed a potion containing Jarrin Root and River Betty (River Betty being the next strongest damage health). The "Poison of Damage Health" is valued at 4266 and causes 7350 points of poison damage.

If you have the perk where poison lasts for two hits you can potentially deal 14700 points of poison damage. MrOlaf 04:53, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

That's sweet but the next most poisonous ingrediant is actually crimson nirnroot, then river betty, then deathbell, then nirnroom then the usuals {nirnroot actually is the same strength but lasts slightly longer} {Sarch Lalaith} — Unsigned comment by 94.5.8.94 (talk) at 17:33 on 6 April 2012

[edit] More poison facts

If you use Jarrin Root, Crimson Nirnroot, and Glowdust can create a poison with over 9000 damage if you wear a fortify alchemy item with 25%+ alchemy. If one was to use the best fortify alchemy items in the game and tell people here how powerful a poison they can make, it would be much appreciated.— Unsigned comment by 108.41.140.100 (talk) at 01:11 on 31 March 2012

Its a unique item so there is little value in such detail. The Silencer has spoken 01:24, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Damage

Given that Jarrin Root is a unique item, is it notable that it does 3000+ damage with all relevant perks and no Fortify effects? After all, with the Shrouded Gloves and appropriate sneak/one-handed perks, you can get a dagger to around 1500 damage on a sneak attack (with no Fortify Smithing or Fortify One-handed), and you can use that more than once, but we don't mention that anywhere that I'm aware of. [edit] Getting Additional Samples

Has anyone tried adding more jarrin roots using the console? I tried it and just got a basket with the name Jarrin Root that was worth about 200 gold. --BlackhawkXIII (talk) 01:32, 8 January 2013 (GMT)

The ID you need is 0001BCBC This will give you the root as an ingredient worth 10 gold. --JC69 (talk) 17:20, 3 April 2013 (GMT)

[edit] Garden?

With the addition of owning land (and your very own garden and/or green house) is there any verification for creating more samples of the Jarrin Root using these new tools (via gardening)? It would be worthy to note on the page if it is indeed true. Satellite --98.149.253.196 05:19, 20 March 2013 (GMT)

No they don't work, sorry. You can only obtain it during the quest, by using the PC console as above, or the barrel editor on Xbox 360.--JC69 (talk) 18:12, 3 April 2013 (GMT)
