The Rules of the Talk Page

Welcome to my talk page. Whether you've got a query, complaint or just need some help, please follow these 3 simple rules in order to keep my page nice and tidy so I can find your message easily. I'll usually reply on your talk page unless there are two or more participants upon which I shall reply here to minimise stress and flitting between several talk pages. Thank you for your visit. :) Have a nice day.
Rule the First
Start all new topics with a level 2 heading, i.e ==Your Title here== to keep the format tidy.
Rule the Second
Place new comments at the bottom of the section they are related to so I can find them easily.
Rule the Third
Sign your post or I shall be most unhappy >:( and use lots of angry emotes.

Welcome[edit]

Hello Durradan! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors. Enjoy! --- Game LordTalk|Contribs 09:25, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Substitution[edit]

Hello again, I would have mentioned this earlier, but I forgot... You can substitute pages. I've used my sig page as an example. You type {{User:Game Lord/Sig}}, which gives you User:Game Lord/Sig. An example of a page where this is used is Oblivion:Artifacts. So if you still want to have your signature on a seperate page, then substitute it, then you can! - Game LordTalk|Contribs 07:13, 29 March 2008 (EDT)

Umm, yes, you could manually enter a link to your sig page. But that doesn't do anything to address the basic issues that motivated Wikipedia's ban on using templates in signatures; it's not just an arbitrary restriction that was put into place. As I said at the other discussion on this topic, it really seems like adding a custom signature to the "my preferences" option box is a preferable way to be doing signatures. --NepheleTalk 15:24, 29 March 2008 (EDT)
