IP that needa blockin man[edit]

I found this one ip (72.201.24.142) that changed the Skull of Corruption page and edited it to include a very colorful library of words i edited back to the original. Flash 22:11, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

It would be a very extreme action, since according to the Blocking Policy you need to hand out a warning first (done) and if the user keeps vandalizing the site then it would be more appropriate to block the IP adress or account. --MC S'drassa T2M 22:18, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Well please do something :( he keeps editing a bunch of stuffs which is pretty annoying :P Flash 23:16, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Since I'm only a patroller I can't do more than you can, hand over a warning which I have already done. Also the IP adress has only added that vandal edit so I don't think it should be blocked (for now). --MC S'drassa T2M 23:25, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Bloodmoon/Tribunal download troubles[edit]

I have had some troubles whith the game of the year for morrowind. I had an older version of the GOTY morrowind had problems where bloodmoon woudn't load. With tribunal it would star the game with minor errors and when you start playing the content it has so many errors that you need to reenstall the game. I ordered a new copy but it had the same problems. so is it my computer or did I forget to do somthing.(this is for the computor edition)(98.177.195.131 05:45, 2 January 2010 (UTC))

This Doesn't Make Any Sense At All[edit]

You removed my Hanchel Hovel mod from the wiki a while ago but there are some things that seriously do not make any sense. Midas Magic, Tamriel Rebuilt and FCOM are not official mods and thus are just as third party as my mods are. Cobl and Wrye Bash, they have reason to be there but afore mentioned three, they should have been removed along with my mod. ModderElGrande 20:02, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

The reason why they were moved was because you added the people from the mod in Oblivion:People , when it doesn't belong there because they aren't part of the original game. If you want your mod to be listed you can add it here, under the right section. --MC S'drassa T2M 22:18, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
But I added it in TES4:Mod as well yet it was removed there as well. ModderElGrande 14:47, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Strange, looking at your contibs, it shows that you only added it to the Oblivion:People page. You can try to add it to the correct page (the one above), though. And yes, I did checked your contribs before posting my first reply. Maybe what happened is that you created a page and it got deleted, once a page is deleted all its history gets lost. --MC S'drassa T2M 17:09, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Actually, deleted pages are not lost forever, but are only viewable to admins. Other than adding characters to OB:People, ModderElGrande also created TES4Mod:Hanchel Hovel, which was deleted in September. I think Nephele's summary best explains the reasons for deletion:
Orphaned page that does not meet guidelines at Oblivion Mod:Mods#What Goes Here. UESP only covers larger-scale mods that need more than a permastub article for documentation; other sites are more appropriate for this type of information
So really, unless your mod is Cobl-based (in which case you could list it at the page S'drassa provided), there is no appropriate place to list it here. I would suggest following the links provided at Oblivion Mod:Mods if you're interested in putting more information about your mod online. –Eshetalk 19:15, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Alright then, thanks for shedding a bit of light on the situation. 92.28.50.172 16:51, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

'Near'[edit]

Re: the discussion at Oblivion:Fort Doublecross, that is also relevant to the great majority of location articles, I see you were the contributor of the 'survey' information, including "The following plants can be found near the entrance:" sentence. It is my opinion that the word for the area surveyed, e.g. 'cell' or '100 yard radius', or whatever it is, would be preferable to the word 'near' in that sentence. Only I do not know what that is, and I was hoping you do and would tell me. Please? Thanks for your time. Anarchangel 23:09, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm afraid I was not the mastermind behind that one--Nephele generated all the data while I merely pasted them all on the appropriate pages. Unfortunately I'm not exactly equipped to look into it at the moment, but I agree that it couldn't hurt to be more specific. I remember there being a few instances where I was surprised that a particular object was considered "near" a given landmark, so clarifying those sentences would probably be helpful. My best guess is that the included area is the entire cell, but I'm not sure. –Eshetalk 00:13, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
That is what I figured also, the whole cell. If you have some kind of bot that can find instances of a phrase in articles and replace them all, just guessing 'cause you say you entered all the info, then we could sure use that if it comes to replacing the word 'near'. Thankee for the directions; I will talk at Nephele. Anarchangel 13:40, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Awsome Flag[edit]

How did you get the Morrowind flag with the Daedric lettering?--Corevette789 19:27, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

S'drassa as mentor[edit]

Why did you remove S'drassa as a mentor? I believe he doesn't meet any immediate disqualifications (unless he has non-enabled email capacities), and I think he will be a welcome addition to our mentor program. Besides, isn't it standard to post a Mentor Program Notice on his talk page to clarify the reasons? I suppose you talked about it in private, but this way others (like me, for example) are left with no explanation. As I said before, I believe S'drass is well-suited to be a mentor. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 21:20, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

I think I can answer that. Eshe removed me back when I had only about a week or so of having joined the site, so I didn't met some of the requeriments, and it was only a few moments later of having gotten the message I understood that I needed to have more editing experience. Oh, BTW she did contact me (see here) and thanks Wolok, I'm glad to know that I've been doing something good in this two months :) --MC S'drassa T2M 22:01, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
Oops, I really need to look more closely to the dates. I thought you only added your name recently, but it appears it was done in November. That explains it. Sorry to bother you guys. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 07:38, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

New user[edit]

Help finding Morrowind info[edit]

Eshe,

Not sure who exactly to contact about this, so forgive me if you're not that person. I am a brand new Morrowind player, and remember reading something on the site a while back that broke down which houses/factions were compatible with a certain play style. It went something like this: You could play a combat-oriented character and join X and X, a stealth character and join X and X, or a Mage and join X and X. I remember it was in paragraph format (I assumed in one of the "Getting Started" type pages), but now I can't find it again. Could you help direct me to the page I'm talking about?

Thanks, mcgee4lifeMcgee4life 17:20, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

I can give you an unofficial list

Stealth: Great House Redoran, Theives Guild and the Berne vampire clan

Warrior: Great House Hlaalu, Fighters guild, and the Quarra vampire clan

Mage: Great House Telvanni. Mages Guild, and the Aundae vampire clan

I couldn't find the page either and it may have been deleted so I will continue looking but I hope those help for now.--Corevette789 17:31, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

This likely is not it but you can tell what play style they are alligned with by the favored attributes. Here is the page.--Corevette789 17:38, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

To delete a topic, click the "edit" button (either at the top of the page, or to the side of the topic in question), find and highlight the section you want to delete including the title, found between a series of equal signs (== ==), delete your selection, and save the page. Mentorship[edit]

Inactive for 3 months or more[edit]

This is a courtesy message to inform you that your user profile has been removed from the list of mentors at UESPWiki:Mentor Program, and also to request that you remove the "Mentor" userbox on your user page, if applicable.
