Lazare Milvan, in his house in Skingrad
Lazare Milvan is a male Breton Noble who lives in a large house in Skingrad. He is a wealthy yet arrogant man who thinks that the player is of low birth. He is not involved in any quests, and does not offer any services.
When you first meet Lazare, he will say:
- You have obviously made a mistake. Sir Lazare Milvan would never speak with someone of your low birth.
- You are obviously of low birth. Unless you dispute my judgement[sic, not judgment]... and you would press your suit at the end of a sword.
Thereafter, all he will say is:
- You are talking again. You will stop.
The recording notes for all of his dialogue say that his tone should be "aristocratic contempt; deliberately provocative". If you are wearing the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal or using 100% Chameleon it is possible to engage in limited conversation and play the persuasion minigame.
[edit] Notes
- He carries a Silver Longsword as his weapon.
- Citizens of Skingrad may tell you the following rumor:
-
- I heard Lazare Milvan challenged someone else to a duel. The man is ridiculous.
- I've had about enough of Sir Lazare. He thinks he's so much better than everyone else.
- Since Lazare doesn't have any purpose in the game, he is potentially a good choice as a first kill if you wish to join the Dark Brotherhood. You may also be tempted to occupy his house. Note, however, that every container in the house (except for one jewelry box) respawns. Therefore it is not safe to store items in this house; for safe storage, you will need to purchase a house.
- Lazare's basement contains a leveled and unusually strong rat. The damage it deals and its health increase drastically with your level. Unlike standard rats, it is not a member of the Creature faction and therefore may possibly not attack you on sight. There is no apparent reason for the rat's presence in the basement. In the construction set, this rat is identified as "TestBasementRat", and therefore may have been added for testing purposes and never removed.
- You will find Cyrodilic Brandy in Lazare's house.
