Firsthold is one of the main cities on Auridon, the second largest of the Summerset Isles. It's home to a great Orrery constructed out of celestial material, which was gathered by travelers to Aetherius in the Merethic Era.[1] The great river Diceto passes through the royal parks of the city.[2] The city is featured as the setting of the book The Firsthold Revolt. High Councilor and later Potentate Ocato of the Third Empire was born here.[3]
Legend says that Firsthold is where High Lord Torinaan first landed on the Summerset Isles.[4]
During the final years of the Third Era, Firsthold was under the rule of king Karoodil and queen Morgiah. It was once home to a gladiatorial team known as the Reapers.[oog 1]
