A Gargoyle

A statue that has been animated by a wizard or a vampire lord, found guarding dungeons and castles. Some will remain frozen to make their prey think they are still made of stone before they attack.

The Gatekeeper

Created by Relmyna Verenim, the Gatekeeper is a giant Flesh Atronach charged with protecting the Gates of Madness in the Shivering Isles.

The Gehenoth

A monstrous beast who attacks adventurers as they rest. Found in the dungeons around the city of Dawnstar.

A Ghoul

These undead are the carrion eaters of dungeons, crypts, and other burial places. They feast on human corpses and other rotting flesh. Although they are not intelligent, they have a natural cunning that aids them in finding food. Because of their vile habits, ghouls have a chance of transmitting a disease to those they bite.

A Ghost

A moderately powerful undead with some spell casting ability, Ghosts require silver or better weapons to be damaged. Known as Ancestor Ghosts in Morrowind.

A Giant

A tremendously large creature that can deal great amounts of damage to an unwary adventurer. Speakers of Giantish can stop these brutes from attacking. The giants native to Skyrim are mostly harmless while unprovoked, and are known to herd domesticated mammoths. If they are provoked, however, or their precious mammoths are harmed, they can be highly dangerous and will attack with their giant clubs. As part of a long-standing tradition, farmers in Skyrim often leave them a cow so the giants will leave the rest of their herd alone. The cow is decorated with paint so the giants will understand it is a tribute to them.

A Giant Scorpion

Usually refers to common Giant Scorpion found in most arid regions of Tamriel. The sting of the scorpion can paralyze the unsuspecting adventurer so extreme caution is advised.

A Gloom Wraith

An extremely powerful wraith which can wield swords and project curses that damage Strength and Endurance. Can be harmed only by silver, Daedric and enchanted weapons. Can also be harmed by non-frost based spells and some conjurations.

A Gnarl

Perhaps the strangest creature of the Shivering Isles, this animated plant can be found roaming almost anywhere on the isles. One of Sheogorath's truly unique creations, the Gnarl has an unusual trait of being able to use magic cast upon it, and harness that power to bolster its own defense.

A Goat

Goats are passive creatures generally found on mountain slopes. They are hunted for their hide and meat, and can also be domesticated.

A Goblin

Goblins are humanoids found throughout Tamriel. They range in height from three feet to over eight feet. Their eyes are yellow and resemble a cat's. The goblin, much like the orc, is found in various types all across Tamriel. Although not terribly skilled in combat, and rarely in magic, goblins can become dangerous in the large numbers in which they are usually found. See also: Riekling.

A Golden Saint

These Daedra appear as half-clad women with golden-hued skin wearing golden armor and a winged helmet. Also known as "Aureals", they are the spawn of Sheogorath and are feared for their combat abilities. They often look down on mortals, and tend to be quick tempered, short of patience, and are quick to deal cruel and harsh punishments. They view all in the Shivering Isles as inferior, and make no effort to hide this in their interactions. More information at Aureal.

A Grahl

Known as "ice trolls", these powerful creatures share their mainland counterparts' regeneration and vulnerability to fire. They are often found in the ice caves of Solstheim. See also: Frost Giants.

Cyrus, transformed into a Gremlin. Note the red vest.

A small, harmless creature related to goblins, whom they can often be found living alongside. Sometimes known as an Orc-Rat. They are used as slaves by the Altmer. Gremlins and other goblin-ken were responsible for the founding of Orsinium. Cyrus the Redguard was once transformed into a gremlin by Archmage Jaganvir of Stros M'Kai.

A Grizzly Bear

A powerful animal that can attack not only with its powerful jaws, but with both front paws. Found throughout the wooded and snowy areas of Tamriel. See also: Brown Bear.

A Grummite

Grummites are an aquatic humanoid race seen in the Shivering Isles, who often lay eggs in sacs suspended over a body of water. Like the Baliwog, they will regenerate when exposed to water.

A Guar

Guars are the primary domesticated herd animal of Morrowind, and are not usually aggressive. Dunmer sometimes use them as pack animals. The feral form of the common Guar have a slightly different skin tone
