[edit] Umaril
Shouldn't Umaril's Sword be added as one of the artifacts since he is considered ayleid, and the sword is almost like a elven longsword. --Umbacano 11:51 , 2 March 2008 (EST)
[edit] The Ayleids fascination with Eagles and/or other raptors
I'm not sure this is the right place or if it's already come to light, but I'll chance it. I've noticed that almost every piece of the Ayleid-made armour/weaponry has some sort of design relating to eagles or other raptor (bird-of-prey, not dinosaur) either through feathers or the profile of a head. Also, isn't the statue seen in many ruins a raptor-headed statue? Just throwing ideas out there. Davehoekst 18:43, 20 July 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Appearance?
What did the Ayleids look like? I kind of think they would look like the Altmer judging by Umaril the Unfeathered.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.79.11.151 (talk • contribs) on March 27, 2009.
- If you read through the Aldmer lore page, it says the Altmer may have selectively bred to look like their ancestors (namely, the Aldmer, ancestors of all Mer). The Ayleids should have looked different somehow, because they ARE technically a split-off, but no one can really tell how much. You would think it was safe to assume they have gold skin, from Umaril, but Umaril the Unfeathered is wearing full-body armor, including a helmet, so it's impossible to tell what he looks like - also, he's only half Ayleid. All of his Aurorans wear full body armor, too. Kinda unfortunate that there are no pictures from that time, in TES. We at least have a decent idea with the Dwemer. --76.89.164.24 18:34, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Ayleid Books
Is it just a coincidence that almost the only two authors of books that are npc's wrote books about the ayleids?--Arch-Mage Matt 23:48, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Recreating Ayleid language?
Is someone knows Ayleid language more closely? Probably I am crazy, but I started to learn it eagerly. But there is tons of essential words, which has no meaning in Ayleidoon, and even more Ayleid words has no known meaning. I found many sources containing articles about Ayleids, found some words, but this is very lack. Probably I need to "create" them, or derive words from other elven languages... I don't know. Any opinions about this? Av Varlais 13:21, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
