Where did you get the information that he was once a goblin hunter? Aldage 18:02, 5 October 2007 (EDT)
- Very good point. I've added the relevant tag to see if somebody else can provide a reference. --RpehTalk 09:07, 6 October 2007 (EDT)
- I am just speculating here: I personally haven't come across anything in the game suggesting that. Fadus Calidius, who adds the map marker, says nothing about him. Jim does not seem to have a journal and he attacks you on sight. May be we can safely assume the information is not authentic. --Mankar Camoran 10:23, 6 October 2007 (EDT)
- I'd agree that it's probably false. Certainly I can't find a reference anywhere in the game dialogue or books. It's a plausible story, but there are several equally plausible reasons for his being there and we shouldn't speculate. There's no hurry though. We can give it a week or so then remove the information. --RpehTalk 10:42, 6 October 2007 (EDT)

Could we add in that he was alsomost likely a joke from the creators of Oblivion? Because not many other goblin shamans (as far as I know of course) are shirtless male Bretons. Just a point I would have liked to have added :P Lots of love, Logiccube 15:22, 22 April 2008 (EDT)
- Maybe the info on Jim being a Goblin hunter was something extracted from the oblivion guide book. I've never read the prima guide before, but I know that it contains some info that isn't found in the game itself.--Willyhead/t 11:13, 31 May 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Fighting Goblin Jim
I was at level 6 when I fought him. The first time, there were also 2 goblins and I got killed. After re-loading, I took out the goblins before facing him. This time he summoned a zombie. I used turn undead, and killed Jim. The zombie never re-appeared, but I guess it vanishes when the summoner dies. This is all background to suggesting that there should be something on the page like: "If you kill all his goblins, Jim will summon a zombie when he attacks you."
- Based on a grand total of two tests? I don't think so. If you ran this through a few dozen times, to ensure that he NEVER summons a zombie when there are still goblins alive, and that he ALWAYS does so when there aren't, then we'd have something. As it is, this just looks like random chance. As for disappearing, summoned creatures always disappear when their summoner is killed. Nothing special there. --TheRealLurlock Talk 10:34, 1 August 2008 (EDT)
