[edit] Add Spoiler Disclaimer?
Does anyone else think "Both Marz and Ohtesse are always killed during the Knights of the Nine quest line" is too much of a spoiler to appear without a disclaimer prominently and closely preceding it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Brian Sexton (talk • contribs).
- The standard to response to this sort of question has always been "But the whole site's a spoiler!" We haven't put warnings on much bigger spoilers (the A Stranger page has one of the biggest) so personally I wouldn't put one here. --RpehTalk 04:39, 5 October 2007 (EDT)
- But should the whole site be thus? Players are urged to use the console only minimally—for bug-fixes and such—to preserve the fun of the game, so it seems reasonable to tag significant spoilers in that same spirit of preservation of fun (e.g., not withholding basic details about a character from a character page, but certainly that a character is killed when a particular part of the game's story unfolds). Perhaps this would be a good ongoing project; we could start by considering everything potential spoilers then work through articles moving spoilers to alternate pages. Please see the Ultronomicon at http://uqm.stack.nl/wiki/ for a good example of how another game wiki handles spoilers. Brian Sexton 05:34, 25 October 2007 (EDT)
[edit] Reviving Marz
Moved here from main article:
- If you have already completed The Sword of the Crusader quest, uninstalling Knights of the Nine, redownloading it, and restarting the questline will revive Marz, allowing you to get the reference needed for master training. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.140.117.72 (talk • contribs).
I don't see how uninstalling the mod will cause Marz to be revived. If your save file says that he is dead, for whatever reason, then he's dead. Because he exists in the vanilla version of the game, removing a mod that merely runs some scripts on his character is not going to alter his character; the scripts don't get "undone" just because the mod is no longer there. Can anyone confirm that this really works and, if so, whether it works reliably (i.e., no matter what Marz' fate was, whether he was killed or disabled or whatever)? --NepheleTalk 03:36, 10 November 2007 (EST)
[edit] Bug?
- There is a small bug, however. Before you enter the castle, she may appear and help you fight the imps. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.43.135.179 (talk • contribs).
I've never seen this happen, which implies that it's not something that automatically occurs and therefore I think a more detailed explanation of what causes it is necessary before it's added to the article. Furthermore, there are never any imps inside Kvatch, so the note also needs to be revised to either explain more clearly where this behaviour occurs or to properly identify the enemies. --NepheleTalk 13:34, 13 February 2008 (EST)
I think scamps are meant instead of imps. But I've got the PS3 version and Oleta has appeared twice (out of the three times I've played the quest) with Matius and the other gaurds right after I open the gate to the castle. She never appeared not once in the 100+ times I played the quest with my Xbox 360 version. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.100.228.143 (talk • contribs).
I play the 360 version, and she's appeared there quite a few times, but just walks back to camp when they are all dead. Though sometimes i saw her inside the castle.
[edit] The battle for castle Kvatch is also a requirement
I believe she wants both Breaking the Siege of Kvatch and the Battle for Castle Kvatch done before she teaches you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.121.172.252 (talk • contribs).
- Thanks. In fact I just checked and it's the only requirement. I'll update the article. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 01:48, 27 June 2008 (EDT)
[edit] No training offered
- moved from main article --GuildKnightTalk2me 23:11, 16 November 2008 (EST)
I've completed the quest and gone to talk to her in the Kavatch camp south of the city, and she does not offer training —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.70.30.212 (talk • contribs) on 16 November 2008.
- Probably because you have not been given the necessary master training reference. See the overview of master training. --NepheleTalk 21:53, 21 November 2008 (EST)
[edit] Following Tierra bug
When I save the refugees in the chapel and they follow Tierra back to the camp, I've encountered a glitch that causes Oleta to keep following Tierra into the battle outside of the Kvatch castle. After this, however, she returns to the camp. Should this be added to the bugs section? Because I've seen it 4 times. Thanks!--Arch-Mage Matt 23:07, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
