[edit] Daedric Shrines?

I'm assuming this page will just be for shrines to the Divines, and not include Deadric Shrines, as I assume there is at most only one Daedric shrine for each prince and each will likely have its own page for an associated quest ala Oblivion. I could be wrong, though, and if practical we could easily include Daedric shrine locations on this page, too. Hypothetically, they could each be listed here and have their own separate pages. I'm just spit-balling, as I'm not sure what the best arrangement is. Thoughts? Minor Edits 18:13, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Talos Blessing

The Blessing from Talos shows as a 0% speedup in shout time, but it also says '7 hours' at the bottom of the effects box, which I have ho idea what that means. It doesn't seem to be a recharge time or anything. Any ideas? Lgpmichael 18:42, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

I'm a console player; maybe the PC players can say for sure. But my first guess is that it's a textual error, and the blessing actually does have some effect. My next guess is that the mistake is with the effect itself, rendering it inoperable. The third guess is that it's an intentionally-included symptom of the ban on the worship of Talos (which might make sense if deities actually drew tangible power from their veneration by mortals, though that premise is by no means certain). Minor Edits 01:17, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
The blessing lasts 8 hours. That is the remaining time displayed in the corner. The blessing does work. It is merely a text error. The actual value for the enchantment is 0.2, which is 20% as a decimal. Unfortunately, someone at Bethesda didn't convert from decimal to percent for the text display. This makes the 0.2 truncate to 0 in the description, instead of the proper 20. 96.28.195.153 05:57, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Duration?

How long do blessings last? Also, I don't see it on the effects screen? Am i too noob? — Unsigned comment by 67.175.216.139 (talk) at 03:04 on 24 November 2011 (GMT)

7 hours its on the bottom right corner of the infobox in the effects screen (Eddie The Head 12:04, 25 November 2011 (UTC))
To be more clear it's 8 hours real-time, it just doesn't show the minutes so by the time you look at it it's at least at 7:59:59 and shows up as "7". --D. Gemini 23:07, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Shrine in Falkreath Hold

There's a Shrine of Talos in Falkreath Hold, in the vicinity of Pinewatch. It has apparently been attacked by a lone Thalmor Justicar, whose corpse you'll find there along with those he killed. It's the earliest chance to grab Thalmor robes I know of, and the Justicar also carries some leveled loot that may include enchanted items and a note where it appears he wasn't believed when he reported the shrine's presence. 89.189.38.226 12:01, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

Can someone say where? In the vicinity doesn't help much north east west where? — Unsigned comment by 173.239.88.11 (talk) at 19:19 on 01 February 2012
It says on this wiki page that it's northeast. Alphabetface 01:28, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

[edit] A Report to the Department of Redundancy Department.

It might be a good idea to combine the blessings chart with this page and possibly add mention of the shrine of Nocturnal in the theives' guild hideout, as this has effects more like the Aedric shrines than the other Daedric. This would only leave the Gift of Charity to deal with. Any ideas? Thelastoneusaw 16:26, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Seems like it would be a lot easier to simply link to that blessings page here. Then there's no worry about mixing up spirits inappropriately and the Gift of Charity can be added to the blessings chart. Minor Edits 18:50, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Shrine of Nocturnal in Thieves Guild

Was it always there?! I mean, I've done all the thieves guild main quests, I'm in the process of doing side missions to restore it to it's former glory and I have never noticed the shrine there until now. Am I really that blind or does it appear once you get the guild a certain distance toward it's "former glory"?--Lyco499 21:27, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

No, it wasn't always there. Nocturnals shrine doesn't appear until you've completed Darkness Returns. Evlydia 05:56, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Blessings

Do we want to say what each shrine does on this page or not? They were on the page, then removed, and now re-added, so ... should I be fixing typos or reverting? Minor Edits 01:25, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

It's convenient to have the blessing effect both here and on the Blessings page. This page lists locations, so if I were looking for what shrines were in a particular area I'd type "Shrines" in the search box, and it's handy to know the effect without flipping back and forth between Blessings and Shrines. It doesn't take up much extra space, whereas a full merge as discussed above would make the page very cluttered. 76.187.201.66 18:43, 22 December 2011 (UTC)evilneko
You must return the skeleton key, in order to complete the nightingales story. Then norcturnal will give you 3 choice of buff. one that will turn you invisible, one that will cause all enemy to attack each other, and the third Lets you draw health from an enemy. — Unsigned comment by 173.178.244.131 (talk) at 12:15 on 19 January 2012

[edit] Talos shrine "In Winterhold"

Would anyone care to elaborate exactly where this is in Winterhold? The link points to the city page but as yet I've been unable to find one in the Winterhold city location. — Unsigned comment by Evlydia (talkcontribs) at 05:56 on 11 February 2012

I've never seen it either. Evilneko 00:14, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Based on the map of all the shrines I would guess that this refers to the one north of Ysgramor's tomb since that one is not referenced in any other entry and is in the hold of Winterhold. Coronus 00:29, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
I checked Winterhold and did not find any shrines there. The map of the shrine locations does not include one there either. I changed the entry to refer the the one by Ysgramor's Tomb. If there is one in the city than whoever finds it can add it again (preferably with a more specific description of where it is). Coronus 00:52, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Temple of Talos in Windhelm

I haven't been, personally, but the Temple of Talos article here on uesp has an image of the temple's interior with a shrine to Talos in the center. That shrine isn't listed in the Talos Shrine section of this article. I don't know how this page is meant to be dealt with as I've only ever been a reader, but I wanted to announce this to whoever cared. — Unsigned comment by 70.36.134.132 (talk) at 03:23 on 27 February 2012

Added. Thanks for letting us know! Robin Hoodtalk 07:31, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Missed Talos Shrine

i gotta go but the shrine south of Riverwood and the Guardian Stones does not appear to be on the list. --D. Gemini 23:05, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

That one is there--it's marked as "northeast of Pinewatch". --Velyanthe 23:50, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Shrine of Talos in Fellglow Keep

When I went through Fellglow Keep, the so-called Shrine of Talos appeared to be just a ruined statue of Talos, but no actual shrine that could be activated to obtain a blessing. Can somebody confirm or deny this? --Xyzzy 05:43, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

CK/in-game: It's there and it can be activated, between the rubble and the broken altar - RuinsAltarBroken (0x0003f812) - in front of the ruined statue. --Holomay 22:01, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Dragonborn Shrines?

I just found a Shrine of Kynareth due north of the Earth Stone, south-southwest of Bloodskal Barrow, in the rocks near the coast. Should that be added here, or should DB get its own shrine page? Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 04:55, 13 December 2012 (GMT)
