Fort Farragut is a small fort east of Cheydinhal containing undead (quest-related). [edit] It contains only one zone, Fort Farragut.

• The Purification: Things at the Sanctuary have gone sour, and the Brotherhood can't afford chance or weakness.

Notes

• Outside on one of the ruined walls is a Base Ring of Speed; see Non Random Loot for details on how to locate this ring (and some gold).
• There is a trap door that works as a back door on the other side of the Fort inside a big tree.
• Lucien Lachance will only appear in Fort Farragut after the Dark Brotherhood quest Of Secret And Shadow (the prelude to The Purification) has been started. He appears at the quest's stage 30, after you have read the orders given to you by Ocheeva. Lucien will disappear from Fort Farragut after The Purification, specifically at the end of the subsequent Dead Drop mini-quest.
• There are ten Poisoned Apples in a locked barrel (E on the map) near where you meet Lucien. The barrel respawns. You can access the barrel at any point in the game, even if you have not joined the Dark Brotherhood.
• Fort Farragut is Shadowmere's home: it is where you first receive her, and it is where she eventually returns if she wanders off (as long as you have not armored her).
• Once you open gate C providing access to Lucien Lachance's room, all of the Dark Guardians will die.
• The fort contains a rare human heart lying in an open tomb.
• This fort contains 18 Wisp Stalk plants.
