Gaston Surilie is a male Breton Rogue and the brother of Davide Surilie. He is one of only three NPCs who wear a Black Hood, which is of interest to enchanters who don't care for the colors of the Mage's Hood. He is not involved in any quests and does not offer any services.

Every morning he goes to work in his vineyard, just north-west of Skingrad's west gate. He usually takes a lunch break around 1:00 p.m. at the Grateful Pass Stables. After lunch, he usually switches places with his brother and works in his backyard with Ambroise Canne. Around 8:00 p.m. he'll stop working and just hang out in the backyard until he goes inside around 11:00 p.m.

Unfortunately, he doesn't ever take the hood off through normal gameplay. The weightless Black Hood can be obtained by reverse-pickpocketing a Mage's Hood into his inventory. Given enough time, he will don the more expensive Mage's Hood. The Black Hood can then be pickpocketed, but it is tagged as stolen until it is enchanted. The hood cannot be fenced, as it has a value of 0.
